Girvan is a short detour off National Route 7 on one of the Purple national byway routes (South Ayrshire Paths).

Girvan is home to Biosphere Bikes, here you can have your weary bike serviced to continue your trip or hire one for use during your stay at Peel House

Peel House has safe storage for your cycle whilst you rest yourself after a days adventure.

By Car

Girvan itself can be approached from the north and the south via the A77.

At this point in time Peel House doesn't have EV charging facilities. However, there are rapid charging points at the Girvan Beach Car Park

Bus journeys to and from Girvan on the West coast of Scotland can be planned via visiting the Stagecoach website, here you can find route and pricing information.

Girvan train station is within a 10 minute walk from Peel House Bed and Breakfast. Rail travel to Girvan is easily planned commission free using Scotrail

Travel times to Ayr - 30 minutes, Kilmarnock and Stranraer  - 60 minutes, Glasgow - 90 minutes.

By Air

Our nearest airports are:

 - Prestwick (22 miles away)

 - Glasgow (46 miles away)

By Sea

Ferries to Larne (The Republic of Ireland) and Belfast (Northern Ireland) travel from Cairnryan (24 miles away):

Ferries to Arran and the other Western Isles are handled by Calmac. Day trips to the Isle of Arran and Great Cumbrae are certainly achievable during a stay at Peel House.
